Determine digital maturity level

A position check before you invest. I look at how digitally your organisation actually works today, measured against processes, technology, skills and culture.

What it is for

For organisations with something planned who want to know where they stand first. Size and sector make little difference; the questions are the same in a public authority as in a company: what works, what sticks, and why.

How I go about it

First the stocktaking. Which systems are in use, which routines depend on them, who can do what, and what the digital strategy says, if there is one.

Then the classification. I apply a maturity model that looks beyond the technology to processes, skills and the way decisions are made in your house. Out of that come strengths, gaps and the places where little effort moves a lot.

Then the roadmap. The steps in an order, with effort, timing and who owns them.

On request I accompany the work and determine the maturity level again later. Without that second look the first one stays a snapshot.

Who has to take part

Management, IT and at least one department. Without the operational level the picture comes out flattering, because that is where the workarounds sit that nobody writes down.

What is not part of it

No certificate and no grade to show elsewhere. The result is meant for your decisions, not for a wall.

No delivery either. Closing the gaps is a separate assignment, and you can award it to someone else. The classification is written so that it holds either way.

Frequent questions

How long does it take?

One to three weeks depending on the size of the organisation, most of it conversations and review rather than waiting.

Who has to take part?

Management, IT and at least one department. Without the operational level the picture comes out flattering.

What comes out at the end?

A position with named gaps and a sensible order in which to close them.
